Proof-of-Concept Studies
Proof-of-concept studies are used to demonstrate to a client the value
of our software products. Typically, we will work with the client to code
in their current plans and business rules into our models, and calculate
the cost of their current operations. We then use our models to suggest
changes to their current plan or policies and quantify the savings. The
proof-of-concept studies are scoped to represent our capabilities without
attempting to install every feature of the system, perform exact calibration,
or integrate our tools with the client’s business process. We run
the models and present the results back to the client for validation.
Such studies are rather large in scope and require significant resource
commitments from both Innovative Scheduling and the client. Clients help
us defray the cost of our time to perform these studies. Studies range
in budget from $25,000 to $100,000. While this work falls under consulting,
the primary motivation of the studies is to create opportunities for us
to learn more about our client’s business and priorities and for
the client to learn more about our software tools and become confident
in our tools capabilities and potential value to their company.
