Innovative
Scheduling is interested in developing software for planning as well as
real-time scheduling problems. At Innovative Scheduling, we are developing
several software products that require truly specialized skills in operations
research. We develop optimization or simulation engines in C++ or VB .NET
and package them in an interactive web-based decision support system so
that the decision maker can contribute his or her unique expertise and
insight into the solution process. We are expanding beyond our initial work on railroad scheduling problems. We are currently doing research and in dialogue with several firms from other
transportation sectors including intermodal, ports and maritime companies, motor carriers, package
delivery companies and airlines. Our current software products include:
We are seeking Developmental Partners for some of these products to transition
our prototype software into a Version I commercial-grade software solution.
We recognize the value of having real-world users assisting us in calibrating,
testing, and finalizing the design details of our new tools. There is
significant benefit to the client in becoming a Developmental Partner
as the first client can influence the priorities, the structure, and the
assumptions imbedded in the model. In addition, we give our Developmental
Partner a 50% discount on the licensing fees for the software.
