Our Vision

We strive to work with railroads, airlines, motor carriers, and other transportation related firms to identify very difficult network problems that can only be solved through the use of cutting-edge operations research methodologies. Rather than chasing the often elusive goal of “theoretical optimum”, we structure models to include the necessary constraints, assumptions, and costs so that our solutions are useful to industry and at the same time offer near-optimal results enabling a quantum improvement in the cost, service, and profitability of a business.

Our objective is to package these new methodologies into commercial-grade decision support systems that combine operations research techniques with the state-of-the-art information technology tools. We wish to develop software systems which industry practitioners can use to solve their day-to-day complex planning, scheduling, and tactical decision problems. Few companies possess the combination of skills necessary to develop software that is capable of solving these complex problems. Our future vision is to establish ourselves as a major vendor in this growing market.
