Asok Chaudhuri is a Member of the Board of Directors for the company, and also a Principal at the Heritage Capital Group, a merger/acquisition and financial advisory company. He has held several executive positions at different divisions of CSX Corporation, and recently retired, after serving 26 years at the company, as the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development. He was the Chief Financial Officer of CSX Intermodal, Vice President of Financial Planning and Analysis at CSX Transportation, and Vice President of Finance at CSX Corporation. His most recent responsibility, as the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development at CSX, was to accomplish a strategic transformation of the company -- from a multimodal global transportation conglomerate to a pure U.S. rail transportation company. In particular, he led the highly successful divestiture of CSX World Terminals, a global container-port operating company owned by CSX.
Prior to joining CSX, he worked for the British Petroleum Company and served as a consultant to a number of different industries. He is an accomplished financial and strategic planning executive with a proven track record in strategy development, business planning, and performance improvement. In addition to business experience, he teaches graduate-level courses at various universities as an adjunct. As a member of the company´s Board of Directors, he brings his vast insight into the railroad and transportation/logistics decision-making processes and his connections with senior executives of the industry. He will assist the company in defining its corporate strategy, identifying new business opportunities, and marketing its products.
