William Nulty has 25 years of experience in designing and developing commercial supply chain decision optimization systems. He is currently the co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of Scientific Logistics, Inc., a software firm providing “software as a service (SaaS)” transportation optimization solutions and web services to firms managing large truck fleets.
Dr. Nulty was previously Chief Technology Officer at CAPS Logistics, leading the design and development of a suite of logistics decision support products used by more than 250 organizations in over 30 countries. This family of products was widely considered the premier commercial solution suite in the areas of vehicle route and schedule optimization, supply chain design and modeling, and transportation planning in the 1990’s.
Dr. Nulty also served as Global Vice President of Supply Chain Research & Development for Baan Company, and Chief Technology Officer for Velant. He also served as Director of the Logistics Design Laboratory at Georgia Tech, and has won innovation research awards from the U.S. Office of Naval Research, the U.S. Air Force Office of Scientific Research, and the U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency in the areas of supply chain and logistics optimization.
