Dr. Ravindra K. Ahuja, a world-renowned researcher
and academician, and a Professor
of Industrial & System Engineering at the University of Florida,
Gainesville, founded Innovative Scheduling, Inc. in 2000 with
the desire to solve complex and large-scale transportation scheduling
problems using innovative and state-of-the-art operations research
techniques. He believes that universities provide a fertile ground
to germinate ideas, while commercial companies are required to package
and deliver those ideas to the market place. Innovative Scheduling
is delivering cutting-edge academic research to the transportation
industry.
We are a highly-qualified team of professionals with strong operations
research, computer science, and information systems development
skills. We also have significant industry and consulting experience.
We intend to develop software solutions that can be used for planning
as well as real-time scheduling of critical transportation resources.
The current focus of the company is in the railroad industry with
